Domaine de France offers self catering rental opportunities for adult, family or student groups. There is accommodation for up to 11 couples, 4 to 5 families or small groups of up to 20 individuals.

 

Domaine de France is about 55 mins from Bergerac Airport and about 90 mins from both Toulouse and Bordeaux. Low cost airlines fly to Bergerac, Bordeaux and Toulouse to provide faster access from the UK, Belgium & from Paris too.

Car hire is easy through airlines. Help with transfers is possible. Auto-routes and TGV rail services are within 30 minutes.
The region has improving accessibility, with auto-routes, TGV rail links from all parts of
France & neighbouring countries.

 

 

Domaine de France is located in the village of Penne d’Agenais in the heart of Lot-et-Garonne and the southern Dordogne - this lovely area of Aquitaine in the South-West France  is undoubtedly  one of the most beautiful and unspoiled parts of France. It has a rich history with links to England dating back to the medieval period & the reign of Eleanor of Aquitaine, Richard the Lionheart & the Crusades.

 

In the region area you will find many medieval villages like Penne d’Agenais, including Domme, Belves, Monpazier , Monflanquin, Pujols as well as larger centres like, Bergerac, Sarlat, Villeneuve sur Lot (Sub-prefecture) and Agen (Prefecture);  several are classed as 'most beautiful villages in France'. The regional cities of Bordeaux & Toulouse are both about 90 mins drive from Domaine de France. The  rural architecture in the region is stunning - ancient houses, barns, pigeonniers and churches simply form part of the unchanging landscape; there are limestone caves nr Sarlat, Villeneuve & Domme; there is unspoilt countryside in abundance in the Pays de Serres,  Quercy, and  the Valleys of the Lot , Dordogne, Dropt & Garonne rivers; hiring river boats & canal barges is a popular way to see the region (Domaine de France is just 30 mins from the Canal in Agen to access either Bordeaux, Toulouse or the Mediterranean coast.;  vineyards and orchards for fruit & nut trees, farms rearing ducks, geese & poultry; there is a village market for fresh produce somewhere not far from Domaine de France on each day of the week; chateaux, including Bonaguil, Beynac, Montbazillac and Biron are within easy reach.
